Call to Convention

The Nevada State Democratic Party will meet in Convention on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino at 9:00 A.M.  Please note this is a one day session; there will be no session on Sunday, June 27th.

Delegates elected to the Nevada State Convention at their county conventions may pre-register online at https://donate.nvdems.com/page/contribute/stateconvention. On-site registration will be open at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Friday, June 25th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 26th from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  If you were not elected as a delegate, but wish to attend as a delegate, you may also register online as an Alternate Delegate.  You must be a registered Democrat in your county to attend as a Delegate or Alternate.

Business to come before the convention will include:

    -Election of at-large NSDP executive board members
    -Election of State Central Committee Members
    -Adoption of the 2010 Nevada State Democratic Platform

Persons wishing to run for executive board member should fax or mail/hand-deliver the enclosed nomination form to the Nevada State Democratic Party headquarters by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 23rd.  Any persons running for executive board must be a registered Democrat in their county of residence.  The convention will elect eight at-large members from Clark County, four at-large members from Washoe County, and two at-large members from Greater Nevada.  Nomination forms may be returned by fax to 702-735-2700, in person or by mail at 1210 S Valley View Blvd, Las Vegas NV 89102.

A Welcome Reception honoring Virginia Cain and John Ponticello for their service to the Democratic Party will be held on Friday Evening, June 25th at the Flamingo Las Vegas from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  Tickets for this reception are $60 individual, $50 each for two or more, and may be purchased online at https://donate.nvdems.com/page/contribute/stateconvention.
