Statement from Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Sam Lieberman on the Passing of Edmundo “Eddie” Escobedo, Sr.:

“It is with great sadness that Nevada Democrats mourn the passing of Edmundo 'Eddie' Escobedo, Sr., the founder and publisher of El Mundo newspaper, and longtime activist.  Eddie was a stalwart Democrat and friend to so many people in our community.  Our elected officials and leaders so often relied on his friendship and counsel.  He will be sorely missed, and our thoughts are with his family”
