In the Bunker: Will Angle Emerge to Answer Questions About Birther Beliefs?

A few short weeks ago, Sharron Angle was literally begging for press coverage, arguing that the media was discriminating against her based on her conservative views.

“As you know earned media is one of those things that every politically adept person wants to do ...Of course we want to get our name in print, and generally speaking the media tries to keep us on the margins and the fringe as conservatives,” Angle told a reporter. “And one of the ways to marginalize us is to not even talk about us. I found that to be more the case.

But now Sharron Angle is nowhere to be found. She won’t even emerge to clear up whether she’s a Birther after touting an endorsement by the Declaration Alliance, a group holds amongst its most mainstream beliefs the conspiracy theory that the president wasn’t born in the U.S., on her website.

And this isn’t the only question Angle’s ducked in the two weeks since her unlikely primary win.

So, Sharron, inquiring minds want to know:

• Are you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Obama is a US citizen, or do you share the belief of the Declaration Alliance PAC, whose endorsement you tout on your website, that Obama is not a US citizen or that the matter is unsettled?

• Why do you want to dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency in the middle of one of this country’s worst ever environmental disasters?

• What did you mean by “Second Amendment remedies,” a phrase you've used in at least 3 radio interviews?" What is an example of a "Second Amendment remedy" in your mind?

• Why do you consider struggling Nevadans forced to collect unemployment during these tough times “spoiled”?

• How are seniors who worked their whole lives and paid their dues, and who now want to collect the Social Security that is rightfully theirs, similar to “welfare” recipients?

• Are you an Oath Keeper? Do you believe we should prepare for "a coming dictatorship" and encourage law enforcement officers and members of the armed forces to disobey "any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps”?

Of course, you’ll have to find her before you can get her to answer a question. And even if you do find her, she may just run, as she did when confronted by one Las Vegas reporter.
