Must See Testimony: Fmr NV GOP Finance Chair Says Lowden “Tanked the Republican Part

In devastating testimony by a former colleague at the NV GOP, Irma Aguire, the former finance chair and Hispanic Coalitions director, spent three minutes eviscerating Lowden's leadership of the state GOP on Nevada Newsmakers yesterday, saying Lowden “tanked the Republican Party” during her time as chairwoman.

·  “I’m not going to be voting for her, I can tell you that,” Aguire said. “She was a huge disappointment to us. We expected so much from Mrs. Lowden and she just didn’t produce. She talks about shaking up Washington… She didn’t shake up her own party.”
· Aguire said of Lowden's tenure as Chairwoman: “She tanked the Republican Party.”
·  “She talks about creating jobs. She closed down the party doors.”
·  “Small businesses like ours depend on our legislators. We depend that they are going to tell us the truth about what they are going to do. And you can judge what somebody is going to do in the future by what they did in the past… There is no trust there.”
·  “The RNC… called us (the Nevada GOP) inept under her leadership.”

The brutal interview came the day after Lowden was stood up for beers by one of her own supposed supporters, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, who has called Lowden “Suicidal Sue” for the disastrous campaign she’s run over the last two months.

And today the Las Vegas Sun wrote a profile of the candidate in which conservative supporter Chuck Muth used the words “flatfooted” and “wheels came off” to describe Lowden’s campaign. The profile details Lowden’s gaffes, her campaign’s inability to change the subject and how the candidate became combative during a public radio interview and hung up on one reporter because she didn’t like his question. David Damore, a UNLV political scientist, didn't mince words, accusing Lowden’s advisers of “campaign malpractice.” “If you step in it, you have to fix it,” he said. “They seem to wallow in it.”

Looks like another bad week in a long string of bad weeks for a campaign that’s tanking like the Nevada GOP under Sue Lowden’s leadership.
