Nearly $3.4 Million for Health Care Improvements in Nevada

Posted in News Clips | 09/06/10 | Millions in federal funding from the Department of Health and Human Services is coming to Nevada.  Senator Harry Reid announced nearly $3.4 million in grants will be used for training and prevention programs, along with improvements to health infrastructure across the state. The University of Nevada, Reno is receiving two grants.  One worth $742,500 for construction of health care facilities and $800,000 for their Center of Excellence for patients with diabetes.
