Sharron’s screw up bunker
By Nevada Democratic Party
U.S. Sen. Harry Reid plays on Sharron Angle‘s most recent “screw up” in this blog from CNN. “You all look like Nevadans to me,” Reid says. It’s a reference to Angle telling members of the Hispanic Student Union at Rancho High School, “some of you look a little more Asian to me.”
Nice save, especially after Reid faced problems in January because he was quoted in the book Game Change saying President Barack Obama had “no Negro dialect” unless he wanted to have one, or musing aloud about how he can’t understand why any Latino person would be a Republican.
Reid chided Angle for allegedly going underground after the comments surfaced.
“Have you noticed that every time my opponent screws up, which is quite often, she goes into her bunker,” Reid asks. “The point is, if you can’t talk to the media when you’re running for United States Senate, you shouldn’t be running for United States Senate.”
Why, Senator Reid, we couldn’t agree more. (Reid has answered questions throughout the campaign, on camera and without handlers or notes. He took questions from me at an event that I was at on Tuesday.)
Angle campaign, I’m still willing to do that sit-down interview, even at this late date. What say you?
