Las Vegas, NV – Following the news that the Nevada State Democratic Party’s longtime Office Manager Naomi Millisor passed away, Democratic leaders from across the state released statements today praising Naomi’s service to the state party:

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto: “I will always remember Naomi’s passion for women’s rights and for working families to be able to succeed in this state. She was a true believer in the power of union organizing and a proud champion for women – whether it was advocating for our equal rights, mentoring young women staffers or supporting women candidates for elected office. She was the heart and soul of our amazing state party, and we are stronger because of her years of hard work.”

U.S. Representative Dina Titus: “Naomi was a champion for Nevada and the Democratic Party. She fought for women, the environment, and working class families. Her legacy of advocacy and activism will live on as her spirit continues to guide us.”

U.S. Representative Ruben Kihuen: “I’m saddened to hear of the passing of a great friend and colleague Naomi Millisor. Not only was she a tough and fearless woman, she was the backbone of our party and never backed away from fighting for what was best for Nevada. She will be sorely missed.”

U.S. Representative Jacky Rosen: “I am saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend Naomi Millisor, a longtime community activist and advocate. Naomi was a champion for women's rights and worked tirelessly to build a strong Democratic Party for our state. She gave her all in the fight for equality and justice every day and was pivotal in moving Nevada forward.”

Senate Majority Leader Aaron D. Ford: “Naomi Millisor was a stalwart of the Nevada State Democratic Party who never gave up the fight for Democratic values. Through her years manning her post at the state party's front desk, she greeted volunteers, staff, and elected officials alike with her unique brand of wit and wisdom. She will be greatly missed.”

Assembly Speaker Jason Frierson: “As the well-known gatekeeper to the Democratic offices, Naomi was a pillar of the Nevada Democratic Party. During times of great triumph and great disappointment, she was always there, encouraging us all to keep up the fight. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends, family, and the Nevada Democratic Party.”
