NV Dems Statement on Joe Heck Becoming Republican Nominee for Congress

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange released the following statement on Joe Heck officially becoming the Republican nominee for Nevada’d 3^rd congressional district:

“Tonight begins the general election campaign where voters will learn more and more about how Joe Heck has spent his first term in Congress voting to throw Nevada’s seniors, women, Latinos, and the middle class under the bus.  From voting to end Medicare by turning it over to private insurance companies and calling Social Security a ‘pyramid scheme,’ to trying to restrict women’s access to cervical cancer screenings and mammogram referrals, to opposing the DREAM Act and campaigning with extreme-birther Sherriff Joe Arpaio, Joe Heck has consistently demonstrated he is out-of-touch with Nevada families.  Nevadans will have a clear choice this November between John Oceguera, who is focused on creating jobs for Nevada’s middle class, and Joe Heck’s pro-Wall Street, anti-middle class priorities of protecting taxpayer giveaways to corporations shipping American jobs overseas.”
