UNLV College Republicans President: Dean Heller “Demanded” My Support in GOP Senate Primary

by Nevada Democrats

UNLV College Republicans President Jacob Deaville went on talk radio this week to report on a “not-so-pleasant” encounter with Republican Senator Dean Heller at Adam Laxalt’s Basque Fry.

According to Deaville, Senator Heller chastised him for being openly critical and then “demanded” his support as Nevada’s senior Senator. Heller’s campaign staff reportedly played “dirty tricks” at their booth, Heller himself didn’t appear until the last 20 minutes of the event, and then he spent most of the time he was there hiding from his constituents inside the VIP tent.

Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement: “Senator Heller is so panicked about losing to Danny Tarkanian that he’s now resorted to bullying college kids and demanding their support. With nearly a year to go, this nasty Republican primary just keeps getting more contentious and pathetic.”
