Yesterday, Nevadans urged Joe Lombardo to call on Donald Trump and Washington Republicans to end the shutdown and reverse their health care cuts. Open enrollment starts in two days and if Republicans refuse to take action, roughly one hundred thousand Nevadans’ health care premiums will skyrocket.
As working families already struggle with rising costs, Lombardo continues to prioritize being Trump’s Cheerleader-in-Chief after he endorsed the Republicans’ “One Big Beautiful Bill” that is responsible for eliminating the enhanced premium tax credits that help middle class families afford health insurance.
Now, on average Nevadans can expect to see their premiums increase by 26% every month, and some Nevadans could even see their premiums jump from $595 to $2,021 a month — a $1,425 increase for the same plan.

Demonstrators say when Affordable Care Act tax credits expire this Saturday, premiums will rise for families already struggling to afford rent, groceries, and gasoline.”

Anjali Patel, KTNV: “Protest organizers say that some Nevadans could see their monthly costs jump by more than $1000. We’ve reached out to the governors’ office for a response but have not heard back yet.”se but have not heard back yet.”
