Today, Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II released the following statement ahead of President Trump’s visit to Las Vegas:
“Rather than working to improve the lives of hardworking Nevadans, President Trump is focusing his efforts on enacting policies that would harm our state, including ending protections for patients with pre-existing conditions, ripping health care away from hundreds of thousands of Nevadans, secretly shipping plutonium into our state, and making Nevada the nation’s nuclear waste dumping ground.
“So while the president takes a break from pushing his anti-Nevada agenda in Washington to deliver more empty promises, the Nevada State Democratic Party is working to create the most accessible and expansive caucus yet. We are mobilizing Democrats across our state to ensure we elect the Democratic nominee who will defeat Trump next November.
“Nevadans rejected Donald Trump in 2016 and rejected his cronies Dean Heller and Adam Laxalt in 2018. We know the damage another four years of this administration would have on our state and we will reject him again in 2020.”
