VIDEO: Amy Schumer, Zach Conine Knock Doors at UNLV, Encourage Students to Vote Early

by Nevada Democrats

Yesterday, on the last day of early voting, actress and comedian Amy Schumer and Democratic nominee for state treasurer Zach Conine knocked doors in the dorms at UNLV and talked to students on campus about voting early. UNLV’s Lied Library was an early voting site for the last three days of early voting and on those days, over 4,000 Nevadans cast their ballots at UNLV.

“You’ll never forget the first time you voted, especially if it’s in the most consequential midterm of our lifetimes,” said Schumer. “Young people have the power to shape the future of our country, but only if they get out and vote. I was thrilled to talk to students at UNLV on the last day of early voting about why their vote matters and encourage them to cast their ballot early.”

“Nevada’s youth have made their voices heard on so many important issues this year, and now it’s time for them to speak out at the ballot box,” said Conine. “So much is at stake for the future of Nevada and our country in this election, which is why it’s imperative that young voters make sure their voice is heard this year.”
