Las Vegas, NV – Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange released the following statement after Assembly and Senate Democrats announced their Nevada Blueprint that will improve Nevada’s education system and help ensure economic opportunity for every Nevadan:
“While the Michael Roberson-led Republican Legislature spent this morning pushing proposals to cut Nevadans’ paychecks, today legislative Democrats laid out a comprehensive blueprint to create a Nevada with more jobs, better schools, and an economy that works for everyone. This is a blueprint that gives every Nevadan a fair shot, not just the big corporations and wealthy special interests who can afford to write Michael Roberson and legislative Republicans a campaign check.
“I want to thank Senate Democratic Leader Aaron Ford and Assembly Democratic Leader Marilyn Kirkpatrick for their leadership in producing this bold agenda that puts the middle class and those struggling to make it first, not out of state corporations who don’t need the help. In contrast to Republicans like Michael Roberson, Nevada Democrats are proposing an agenda that helps Nevada students without punishing their parents struggling to earn a fair wage, put food on the table, and clothes on their children’s’ backs.”
