This weekend, the Nevada Victory team hosted a weekend of action across the state to talk to voters about Democrats running for local office in their community. Joined by Nevada Assembly and Senate elected officials and candidates, organizers and volunteers called and texted Nevada voters to educate them on their voting options this cycle and to talk about the issues that matter most to hardworking families. From flipping the White House to increasing our majorities in the State Legislature, NV Dems are working every day to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
On Sunday, Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro and Assembly Speaker Jason Frierson joined a virtual volunteer appreciation event to thank volunteers for their countless hours of phone calls and text messages to help elect Democrats in November and to encourage them to help carry NV Dems over the finish line across the next eight weeks. Watch Majority Leader Cannizzaro’s remarks here and Speaker Frierson’s remarks here.
Nevada Coordinated Campaign Director Shelby Wiltz released the following statement:
“Winning up and down the ballot in November is crucial to electing leaders who will ensure our state and our country recover from this pandemic. As one of the hardest-hit states, electing leaders at the state and local levels will ensure we not only build our country back better but our communities, as well. NV Dems aren’t taking any race for granted and we will continue to work every day to remind Nevada voters everything at stake in this election.”
Last month, NV Dems launched NevadaVotesEarly.com to provide Nevada voters with resources and answers to frequently asked questions about making their voice heard in the 2020 election.
