NV Dems Launch Coordinated Campaign with Virtual Ice Cream Socials Across Nevada

On Saturday, the Nevada State Democratic Party celebrated Independence Day by launching Nevada’s 2020 Coordinated Campaign by hosting virtual ice cream socials across the state. The State Party recently brought on Shelby Wiltz as the Coordinated Campaign Director and has hired more than two dozen new field organizers in the past month as we grow our team at every level.

As NV Dems continues to expand our field program, organizers hosted meet-and-greet events with new and veteran volunteers. Field Organizers hosted seven virtual ice cream socials engaging Democrats up and down the state to talk about the critical role Nevada will play this election cycle and the need to elect Joe Biden in November if we want to ensure our state recovers from this pandemic.

Nevada Coordinated Campaign Director Shelby Wiltz released the following statement:

“Nevada remains a top battleground state in 2020 and will play a critical role in flipping the White House and retaining our Democratic majority in the House of Representatives. That’s why I am so grateful to have a growing team of dedicated organizers who understand what it takes to win and a volunteer base dedicated to putting in the work. At NV Dems, we’ve been hard at work for more than a year and we continue to ramp up engagement to remind voters everything at stake in this election–from protecting endless attacks on health care from Trump and Republicans to ensuring hardworking families get the relief they need during this pandemic to restoring compassion and dignity to the Oval Office. We’ve built up a strong field program across 2016 and 2018 and, this year, we’re taking nothing for granted.”
