Cresent Hardy Says One Thing to Spanish Language Media, the Opposite to English Language Media

by Nevada Democrats

Las Vegas, NV – Yes, he really thought he could get away with this. Tuesday evening, accidental Congressman Cresent Hardy told MundoFOX in Las Vegas that he supported a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.  Which would be great, if he hadn’t taken the complete opposite position in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal last year.  Hardy told the RJ that he supports only a path to legal status, not citizenship. Hardy has also previously stated that Nevada needs immigrants who are not "drains on society" and eventually go back to their country of origin.  It seems the accidental Congressman and Cliven Bundy supporter thinks he can get away with saying one thing to Spanish-language media, and the complete opposite to English-language media.  This guy realizes it’s 2015 and there’s this thing called the internet, right?

“It’s outrageous that Cresent Hardy is actually trying to get away with telling Spanish-speaking constituents one thing, and English-speaking constituents the opposite,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Regardless of the rhetorical backflips coming from Cresent Hardy depending on who he is talking to, he now has a voting record; and that record shows he voted to end President Obama’s immigration executive action and deport thousands of Nevada immigrants.”
