Yesterday, NV Dems hosted constituency-focused caucus trainings with LGBTQ+ Nevadans in Las Vegas and Reno. The trainings, hosted in coordination with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) at The Center in Las Vegas and at the Washoe Dems office in Reno, focused on caucus education, recruiting volunteers, and demonstrating NV Dems’ commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
“Reaching out to our diverse communities and educating every Nevada Democrat on our process will be instrumental in executing a successful caucus and defeating Donald Trump in November,” said Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II. “With less than 40 days before our First in the West Caucus, NV Dems is working with communities across our state to ensure this is the most expansive, accessible and transparent caucus yet”
This training is one in a series of varying constituency-focused trainings in which NV Dems work to encourage participation across every community. NV Dems previously held and assisted with trainings in the AAPI, Native American and Latinx communities. Later this month, NV Dems will engage with our state’s rural and youth voter communities.
