NV Dems Statement on the Nevada Primary Election

by Nevada Democrats

Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II released the following statement on the primary election:

“I have a lot of pride for our Democratic community--we made our voice loud and clear at the ballot box. Nevada Democrats overwhelmingly favor early, in-person voting, but we showed that, no matter the circumstances, we are ready to fight for a better future and we turned out. After exceeding turnout from 2016 in the caucus this February to seeing the highest turnout in our all-mail primary in a decade, we put Republicans on notice. We won’t accept another toxic slate of Republican candidates or their dangerous agenda. We will fight to expand access to affordable health care, to put working families first, to reform our criminal justice system and stop unjust killings of Black Americans at the hand of police, to strengthen reproductive rights, to protect our environment, and to ensure our state recovers from this pandemic. From top to bottom, NV Dems are ready to win in November.”
