REALITY CHECK: Dishonest Dean Keeps Lying About His Bill That Guts Protections for Pre-Existing Conditions, Medicaid Funding

by Nevada Democrats

In a new "interview" in the safe confines of conservative talk radio, Sen. Dean Heller blatantly lied through his teeth (again) about his reckless health care plan protecting pre-existing conditions and Medicaid expansion.

TRANSCRIPT (LISTEN HERE)

HELLER: “Well, first of all I wrote the replacement legislation for the Republicans, so the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson bill is the replacement. So we are going to expand the size of the Senate, I have no doubt that that will occur. We will replace Obamacare with a bill that one, does protect pre-existing conditions, does protect Nevada and its expanded Medicaid, and does help these young adults stay on their parents’ health care until they’re 26 years of age.”

BUT IN REALITY…

Heller is trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which includes the protections Heller says he wants, with his Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson bill, which doesn't fully protect pre-existing conditions and guts Medicaid funding for Nevada.
