Trump Campaign, NV GOP Double Down on their Support for Dangerous Dan Rodimer Despite Recent Report of Domestic Violence, Theft Allegations

It’s now been more than 48 hours since the AP released a damning report describing two 911 calls in 2018 involving candidate for Congressional District 3, Dan Rodimer, but it’s been nothing but crickets from the Nevada GOP.

Despite the latest allegations detailing cases of domestic violence and theft including jewelry, firearms and $20,000 in cash as well as Rodimer’s long history of violence, the Trump campaign and Nevada GOP have doubled down on their support for Rodimer by hosting him at an in-person canvass launch this weekend and encouraging volunteers to knock doors on his behalf.

Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II released the following statement:

“The allegations uncovered this week should frighten every Nevadan. ‘Big’ Dan Rodimer has used his past career as a professional wrestler as a persona during his campaign for Congress, but these allegations prove his pension for violence goes beyond a character he’s playing. Nevadans must be able to trust their representatives to keep their families safe–not brush aside allegations of domestic abuse. The hardworking families of Congressional District 3 are suffering from this pandemic right now and they need a leader in Washington. If the Trump campaign and the Nevada Republican Party don’t denounce this dangerous behavior, they are sending a message to all Nevadans that this is acceptable to the GOP.”
