The Supreme Court just struck down Donald Trump’s unconstitutional tariffs that Joe Lombardo has endorsed. These effective taxes have been pummeling Nevada’s economy on top of one of the worst unemployment rates in the nation, a worsening housing crisis, and rising health care costs. As Lombardo remains Trump’s cheerleader-in-chief, the president is already plotting to ensure working families don’t get their money back. In fact, Lombardo was with Trump at the White House as the president unveiled a new 10% global tariff.
Lombardo refuses to defend Nevadans against Trump’s cost-raising agenda and even said Nevadans need to “feel a little pain” from tariffs. And this “pain” (that’s gone on for nearly a year) is only getting worse — Nevada businesses are forced to raise prices, freeze wages, and slow hiring. Even the most affordable goods have jumped by more than 2.3% in just the last few weeks and online prices spiked to the biggest monthly increase in 12 years.
