As Nevadans face the rising cost of gas, groceries, health care, and utilities under the Lombardo-Trump economy, Joe Lombardo said we need to prioritize taking care of Trump’s “billionaire friends.” Yesterday, Lombardo took the stage with his “commanding officer” Donald Trump and completely ignored the reality that everyday Nevadans are facing.
Lombardo can’t even pretend to care about working families and couldn’t be more out of touch with the cost of living crisis. Earlier this week, he was caught on tape saying he’s powerless to address affordability and “can’t control” it. Last year, he said Nevadans needed to “feel a little pain” from Trump’s cost-raising tariffs. And he blamed Nevada’s high unemployment rate on Nevadans being lazy and not wanting to work.

- Budget Suites Billionaire Bigelow: After real estate mogul Robert Bigelow bankrolled Lombardo’s candidacy with tens of millions of dollars, the governor vetoed legislation to lower housing costs, protect renters, and prevent Wall Street firms from pricing Nevadans out of purchasing a home.
- Big Pharma: As Nevadans’ health care costs continue to rise faster than anywhere else in the nation, Lombardo has raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars more in Big Pharma cash after vetoing bills that would have capped prescription drug costs.
- Billionaire-Turned-Trillionaire Elon Musk: Lombardo was caught in a cover up with Elon Musk’s Boring Company —- who just became the world’s first trillionaire. Within a day of getting a call from a Musk executive, Lombardo’s administration dropped the safety fines against the Boring Company and then tried to cover up this shady deal by deleting and altering public records.
- Union Busting Fertitta Brothers: After taking nearly $5 million (now up to $6 million) from the “largest law breakers in [state] labor law history,” Lombardo vetoed pro-worker bills — including expanded sick leave, extended paid family leave, and greater worker protections.
