Nevada MAGA MAYHEM- WEEKLY SENATE UPDATE 4/5

Another week, another round of infighting for Nevada Senate Republicans who are making this the messiest and ugliest Senate primary in the country. This is Nevada MAGA Mayhem, your weekly update on the latest news from the Nevada Senate Republican Primary.

KEY TAKEAWAYS: Gunter takes this already-messy MAGA primary to the next level by announcing a multi-million dollar ad buy and threatening to do whatever it takes to win, and new reporting details Sam Brown’s desperate attempt to rewrite his extreme anti-abortion history.

MAGA 💰MULTIMILLIONAIRE 💰GUNTER IS WILLING TO DO “WHATEVER IT TAKES” TO WIN THE MESSY GOP PRIMARY IN NEVADA

Former Trump Ambassador and MAGA extremist Jeff Gunter announced a $3.3 million ad buy earlier this week, throwing down a “major challenge” to Mitch McConnell’s handpicked candidate, Sam Brown.
He then added fuel to the chaotic, messy primary saying that he would spend  “what it takes.” Gunter has now cemented that Republicans will spend the next two and a half months desperately working to outspend and out-MAGA each other.

HUFFPOST REPORTING: SAM BROWN’S ATTEMPT TO 🫣HIDE🫣 HIS EXTREME ANTI-ABORTION STANCE DOESN’T FOOL ANYONE

New reporting from HuffPost showed how Sam Brown is quickly  becoming the 2024 GOP poster child for his desperate efforts to “rewrite” his decade-long anti-abortion record. Voters in pro-choice Nevada will hold Brown accountable for this transparent election year hail mary.

The article highlights Brown’s decade-long anti-abortion record, including:

  • Supporting an extreme abortion ban in Texas with no exceptions for rape or incest that was considered one of the “toughest restrictions in the country” as a candidate in 2014.
  • Serving as the local president of a national anti-choice organization that has backed a nationwide abortion ban, called Roe v. Wade a “moral atrocity,” and praised Texas’ six-week abortion ban.
  • Saying he “would not vote for someone who would continue to support Roe v. Wade” and that he considered whether or not someone understood the importance of protecting life a litmus test for potential Supreme Court Justices.

The article also notes that Brown has refused to weigh in on the recent Supreme Court case that threatens access to abortion medication, including Mifepristone.

No matter what Brown says, he can’t run from his extreme anti-abortion record.
