Starting on November 1, 2025, 500,000 Nevadans will struggle to put food on the table because of the Trump administration’s unnecessary and deliberate cuts to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. Although the state of Nevada could step in to ensure Nevadans don’t go hungry, Governor Joe Lombardo refuses to stand up to his own party to find a real solution. Under Lombardo, one in seven Nevadans — including one in four children — are already unsure where their next meal will come from and these SNAP cuts will cause more pain for families across the state.
