MAGA extremist Sam Brown’s personal super PAC, Duty First Nevada, released a new ad directly attacking Brown’s opponent, former Trump ambassador Jeff Gunter, as the “increasingly nasty” MAGA primary continues to get even messier.
Just last week, Mitch McConnell, who hand-picked Brown to run for this seat, admitted that he’s facing a “tough primary.” Amid these growing concerns, Brown is being forced to tout his MAGA agenda that is entirely out of step with Nevadans, including:
- Going on a far-right media tour, frequenting OAN, Fox News, Newsmax, and conservative talk radio to tout his MAGA credentials, such as:
- Calling himself a “pro-America First candidate”
- Telling Fox News he is “extremely conservative” and an “America First Patriot”
- Saying Trump’s “leadership is what has driven [Brown] to try and join [Trump] in D.C” – and bragging about being an “active volunteer” for Trump’s past campaigns.
- Being forced to spend money on TV ads from both his campaign and his super PAC to prove his conservative bonafides, including his support for “finish[ing] President Trump’s wall.”
- Flying to Mar-a-Lago to beg Trump for his endorsement
Meanwhile, Brown is once again refusing to face Nevada primary voters – ditching yet another GOP primary debate in Reno tonight as he tries to avoid answering for his own toxic record that includes banning abortion even in cases of rape or incest, phasing out Social Security and Medicare, and turning Nevada into a dumping ground for the nation’s nuclear waste.
Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Katharine Kurz
“The Nevada Senate GOP primary is the messiest in the country as every candidate fights to prove their MAGA bonafides and is pushed even further to the right, placing them squarely out of step with hardworking Nevadans.”
