Ahead of SOTS, NV Dems Unveil Mobile Billboard Reminding Nevadans of the True Cost of Lombardo’s Vetoes

Ahead of the 2025 State of the State Address, NV Dems unveiled a mobile billboard directly outside the State Legislature reminding Nevadans just how much Lombardo’s vetoes are costing hardworking families.

Lombardo vetoed several bills that would have lowered housing costs for Nevada residents in support of policies that benefit the slumlord billionaire who bankrolled his gubernatorial campaign. Now, Nevada is facing one of the toughest housing crises in the nation with eviction rates in Las Vegas being among the highest in the country and homelessness skyrocketing.

He vetoed a bill that would have guaranteed school meals to public school students and as a result, a recent report revealed that Northern Nevada parents have accrued more than $60,000 of debt due to his veto and Washoe County school had to drain savings to temporarily try to help parents and students.

After vetoing a bill that would have lowered the price of Medicare-negotiated prescription drugs for all Nevadans, a report found that Joe Lombardo raked in nearly $100,000 in campaign cash from big drug companies.
