Las Vegas Review-Journal: “[Brown] also did not answer if he supports the DACA program”
The Las Vegas Review-Journal recently reported that MAGA extremist Sam Brown refused to answer whether or not he supports the DACA program, continuing his long record of using immigration as a political football and confirming that he will always put partisan politics ahead of doing what’s right for Nevada.
If MAGA extremists like Sam Brown had their way and ended the DACA program, more than 11,000 Nevadans who benefit from DACA and contribute to Nevada’s economy could be at risk of deportation. Meanwhile, Senator Jacky Rosen is fighting to protect Nevada Dreamers – repeatedly calling for comprehensive immigration reform that includes strong border security and a path to citizenship for DACA and TPS recipients.
This isn’t the first time Brown has played politics with immigration – he also publicly opposed the Bipartisan Border Security Deal earlier this year before the text of the bill was even released. When the text of the bill was released, he immediately doubled down on opposing the widely supported bipartisan plan even though the Border Patrol Union supported the deal.
Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Katharine Kurz
“Sam Brown’s refusal to stand up against the threat of deportation for the thousands of DACA recipients who call Nevada home and contribute to our economy is a disgrace. While Senator Jacky Rosen fights to protect our Dreamers and pass bipartisan reforms to fix our broken immigration system, Sam Brown would rather use immigration as a political football because he’s a far-right MAGA extremist desperate to win a Republican primary.”
