Another week, another round of infighting for Nevada Senate Republicans who are making this the messiest and ugliest Senate primary in the country. This is Nevada MAGA Mayhem, your weekly update on the latest news from the Nevada Senate Republican Primary.
KEY TAKEAWAYS: GOP Senate candidates are all in for Trump ahead of his Las Vegas rally Saturday, Roe V. Wade anniversary highlights Sam Brown’s terrifying abortion record, and Gunter is bragging about his new poll results!
DONALD TRUMP IS COMING TO TOWN (WITH ENDORSEMENTS FROM EVERY MAJOR GOP SENATE PRIMARY CANDIDATE) 🪂
This week, former Nevada lieutenant governor candidate Tony Grady officially endorsed Donald Trump for president, meaning every major candidate in the GOP Senate Primary field has now endorsed Trump and tied themselves to the disgraced former president’s extreme MAGA agenda that has been repeatedly rejected by voters in Nevada.
Both Sam Brown and Tony Grady spent monthssaying they would stay out of the Presidential primary. But they caved to political pressure from their primary opponents, and now every one of these MAGA candidates must answer for Trump’s toxic agenda that includes banning abortion, repealing protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and slashing taxes for the ultra-wealthy and giant corporations at the expense of hardworking families.
And of course, the question on everyone’s mind: what will Trump say (if anything) about the GOP Senate field?
ROE V. WADE ANNIVERSARY PUTS SAM BROWN’S DANGEROUS ABORTION RECORD ON DISPLAY 📽️📽️
This past week should have marked the 51st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade decision, but thanks to anti-choice extremists like Sam Brown, abortion rights are under attack now more than ever.
Brown has a decade-long record of supporting extreme anti-choice policies, including:
- Strongly supporting overturning Roe v. Wade
- Stating that he believes abortion should be banned even in cases of rape or incest
- Facing an FEC complaint for failing to disclose his role as president and chairman of the Nevada Faith and Freedom Coalition, a “spin-off” of the national anti-choice organization
- During his failed 2022 Senate run, Brown “left the door open” to voting for a national abortion ban.
- Backing a radical Texas abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest
Nevada is an overwhelmingly pro-choice state, and voters will keep electing leaders to fight for women’s rights to make decisions about their bodies, not extreme politicians who want to ban abortion like Sam Brown.
🧃GUNTER BRAGS ABOUT STRAW POLL RESULTS
This week, Jeff Gunter bragged about his “overwhelming” lead in the Sun City Summerlin Conservative Club straw poll – with 60% of the vote in favor of Gunter.
Following the results being announced, the SCS Conservative Club President said “it is clear this race is far from over.”
