And while hypocrite Sam Brown skipped out despite his previous calls for primary debates last cycle, that didn’t stop the MAGA candidates from attacking his record as an out-of-state career politician handpicked by Mitch McConnell:
- Nearly every candidate piled on Brown for refusing to face Nevada primary voters, with Jim Marchant claiming that Brown didn’t debate because he was endorsed by Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and “the RINO party.” Others said that McConnell should “stop spending money on a Texas interloper,” claimed that Brown “didn’t even have enough respect” to face primary voters, and asked “Is there any Mitch McConnell fans out there? No. Okay, I guess that’s why Sam’s not out there.”
- MAGA candidates even made jabs at Jeff Gunter for his last minute “scheduling conflict” that prevented him from attending, with one claiming that “you’re not missing anything” with him being gone.
- Abortion took center stage at the debate – with the GOP field largely acknowledging that abortion is a losing issue for them, and that Democrats successfully ran on this issue in 2022. But that didn’t stop the candidates from proudly bragging about being pro-life and supporting abortion restrictions.

- GUNTER: “Yeah, finally, after we’ve been hammering him for — for months now, and he’s in a panic, quite frankly, his whole campaign is in a panic. He is being supported by the deep state. He’s a puppet of Mitch McConnell.”
- GUNTER: “Well, we joke within the campaign that Sam Brown’s favorite sport right now is dodgeball. Because quite, quite frankly, he’s Scam, Sam, whatever you want to call him, is just dodging it.”
- GUNTER: “Come out, come out, wherever you are, Sam Brown, and let’s, let’s get it on for the people of Nevada so they can really see who’s 110% Pro Donald Trump, and who’s just a puppet of Mitch McConnell and the deep state.”

Last week, after months of pressure, NRSC-backed candidate Sam Brown finally caved and endorsed Donald Trump after dodging questions for the past six months about his support for the disgraced former president who lost Nevada twice.
