Another week, another round of infighting for Nevada Senate Republicans who are making this the messiest and ugliest Senate primary in the country. This is Nevada MAGA Mayhem, your weekly update on the latest news from the Nevada Senate Republican Primary.
KEY TAKEAWAYS: Sam Brown peddled anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers as “resources for women” and refused to condemn the Supreme Court case to restrict abortion medication. And even after Brown was caught fundraising everywhere but Nevada, he skipped yet another GOP primary event – drawing even more criticism from his fellow MAGA opponents.
EXTREME ANTI-ABORTION AGENDA STILL PROMINENT PART OF SAM BROWN’S PLATFORM, 🫣DESPITE BEST EFFORTS TO HIDE IT🫣
New reporting from The Nevada Independent revealed MAGA extremist Sam Brown’s decade-long anti-abortion agenda is still a prominent part of his platform, despite recent efforts to hide his record. Brown’s 2024 campaign website directs users to anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers, extreme organizations that “often oppose abortion across the board, do not refer women for the procedure and sometimes promote debunked theories that the procedure can contribute to future infertility or breast cancer.”
Highlights from the report:
- “Of the seven Nevada-based centers and national hotline that Brown refers women to on his website, none refer for abortions.”
- “Brown, whose abortion stance has changed since he first ran for office in Texas in 2014, is not the only prominent Republican in Nevada to support these crisis pregnancy centers.”
- First Choice Pregnancy Center, one of the places Brown lists on his site, “posted a video of its executive director pushing back against abortion ever being medically necessary to save a mother’s life and saying that pregnancies resulting from rape and incest are God’s will.”
- [The Executive Director] “confirmed to The Nevada Independent that the center is still against exceptions for the 2024 election cycle.”
SAM BROWN STAYS SILENT 🤫🤫ON MIFEPRISTONE SUPREME COURT CASE
This week, the Supreme Court began hearing arguments for a case that could restrict access to the FDA-approved abortion medication mifepristone. Brown *shockingly* refused to condemn the case.
When asked directly what his stance was on the Mifepristone hearing, Brown said: “The court will hear their argument and make their case, and we will wait and see what the courts do.”
EARTH TO SAM BROWN: Brown has spent his entire political career supporting an extreme anti-abortion agenda, including overturning Roe v. Wade and supporting judges who support efforts to restrict abortion.
SAM BROWN REMAINS ABSENT FROM CAMPAIGN TRAIL WHILE GUNTER GOES ON 💥ATTACK💥 DURING KEVIN WALL INTERVIEW
A new report from The Nevada Independent details how Sam Brown’s calendar is placing him anywhere but Nevada and instead fundraising around the country with MAGA Republicans.
For all the times that Sam Brown has bragged about his campaign being “powered by grassroots” and criticized out of state fundraising, it seems he’s actually been spending most of his time far away from Nevada in New York, California, Texas, and Washington, DC raising money from ultra-wealthy GOP donors and the MAGA elite.
Just this week, Brown skipped yet another GOP primary campaign forum. And while Brown keeps getting more attention for his absence on the campaign trail, he appears to be breaking his promise that he would start showing up for more campaign events after the filing deadline on March 15.
While Sam Brown’s been absent from the campaign trail, Jeff Gunter is taking the opportunity to trash Brown on conservative talk radio host Kevin Wall’s show. Read the highlights:
- “People understand that Sam Brown, Scam Brown, lost literally three times … And the politics when you lose three times in a row, in the primary especially, your campaign is going nowhere.”
- “He barely supported President Trump. He did it reluctantly at the last moment when President Trump was so obviously going to dominate in Iowa.”
- “Scam Brown has absolutely zero experience. He hasn’t really even been a small business owner. The only business he’s done for Nevada is giving us the business.”
