Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno released the following statement on the anniversary of the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting:
“Seven years ago, Las Vegas suffered the deadliest mass shooting in our nation’s history and we remember and honor each and every single life lost and family impacted by this unthinkable act of violence. Just one life lost to gun violence is one too many. Thoughts and prayers alone are not enough. Nevada Democrats will never subscribe to the belief that gun violence should be accepted as a fact of life and we will continue our work to advance common-sense gun violence prevention reforms, for the loved ones lost, the survivors, their families, and every single Nevadan.”
