Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno released the following statement on the vice presidential debate:
“Tonight’s debate made it clear: JD Vance is the quintessential MAGA extremist and has no place anywhere near the Vice Presidency. He is a climate denier who has disparaged Social Security and Medicare, railed against the Affordable Care Act, supports a national abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest, refuses to say whether or not he would accept the results of the 2024 election and has fully embraced Donald Trump’s Project 2025.
“In contrast, Governor Tim Walz, who guarantees school meals to every public school student in his state, laid out Vice President Kamala Harris’ clear vision focused on expanding reproductive rights, protecting workers’ rights, taking real action against the climate crisis, and building an opportunity economy. Vice President Harris has a proven record of creating good-paying jobs, fighting for reproductive freedom, and putting hardworking Nevadans first —issues that matter to Nevada families.”
“The choice is clear: a second Trump term would mean four more years of failed promises, of anti-worker schemes, and billionaire-first scams. Nevadans know that Vice President Harris is for the people, while Donald Trump is for himself – and voters will couch JD Vance and reject Donald Trump for a third time.”
