In response to Joe Lombardo signing AB522 into law, Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Mallory Payne released the following statement:
“Thanks to Democrats’ leadership and despite legislative Republicans’ unanimous opposition, Assembly Bill 522 was signed into law to give well-deserved raises to state employees and help fill worker vacancies. While Republicans continue to play political games with Nevadans’ livelihoods by threatening a government shutdown, Democrats are delivering historic investments in the state’s education, public safety, health care, and state workforce.”
