In response to Governor Lombardo signing the Democratic legislature’s budget bills, Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Mallory Payne released the following statement:
“After multiple temper tantrums and threats to veto a balanced budget, Joe Lombardo finally realized there’s three co-equal branches of government and he doesn’t control legislators. The Democratic-led legislature sent historic budget bills to his desk that make record investments in education, public safety, and health care and include a number of measures Lombardo himself supports. Vetoing this budget would have been a disaster for hardworking families but because of Democrats’ leadership, we can now continue moving Nevada forward.”
