Nevada State Democratic Party released the following statement on Lombardo’s attempt to again pass the buck on Nevada’s ongoing housing crisis:
“While Joe Lombardo tries – again – to pass the buck on a housing crisis he created, the reality is he vetoed Democratic legislation that would have lowered housing costs for Nevadans. President Biden and Democrats are taking real action to increase access to affordable housing and keep Nevada families in their homes while cracking down on corporate bad actors,” said Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Tai Sims. “President Biden provided $1 billion to Nevada to boost affordable housing, lower housing costs, and keep homeowners and renters in their homes, and has proposed a plan that would provide up to $35,000 in assistance for first-generation and middle-class homebuyers. The only thing Lombardo has done is cave to the slumlord billionaire who bankrolled his gubernatorial campaign.”
