Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director Hilary Barrett released the following statement on Donald Trump pardoning Michele Fiore:
“There isn’t a shred of ‘law and order’ left in the Republican Party after Trump pardoned Michele Fiore who was found guilty of stealing from a charity benefiting a fallen officer to pay for her rent and plastic surgery. Donald Trump’s blatant disregard for our men and women in uniform is yet another slap in the face to those who put their lives on the line every single day to keep our communities safe. Joe Lombardo and Nevada Republicans should have enough respect for our law enforcement to condemn Trump’s reckless pardons, including his pardoning hundreds of violent January 6th rioters who assaulted police officers. Democrats will continue to stand up for law enforcement even when Republicans won’t.”
