Ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Las Vegas tomorrow with her running mate Governor Tim Walz, here’s your reminder that Trump’s VP pick said he wanted to end birthright citizenship on his last visit to Nevada. In a recent interview following a stop in Reno when asked if he agreed with Donald Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship JD Vance replied, “I really do.” Vance also co-sponsored a bill with three other Senate Republicans to end birthright citizenship.
The Biden-Harris administration fought to keep families together, protecting undocumented spouses of American citizens who have lived here for at least 10 years. Contrast this to the Trump-Vance ticket who, in addition to their extremist views on birthright citizenship, want to separate families and deport millions of immigrants who have been living, working, and contributing to the Silver State for decades, a far cry from Nevada values.
Vice President Harris will make her seventh trip to Las Vegas tomorrow, making Nevada tied for the most visited battleground state this year.
“During the Vice President’s visit the contrast will be clear that while the Trump-Vance ticket seeks to divide us, the Harris-Walz ticket is a ticket of unity. Nevadans will reject Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda and elect Vice President Kamala Harris this November,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Claudia Alvarado.
