While local leaders push to secure funding for a high-speed rail project between California and Las Vegas, here’s your reminder that Mitch McConnell’s handpicked candidate Sam Brown opposes the widely supported infrastructure project that is expected to create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs in Nevada.
Brown has openly attacked federal funding for the Brightline high-speed rail project, a bipartisan effort backed by business and labor groups, as well as Governor Lombardo’s administration, to boost tourism and grow Nevada’s economy.
Brown also said he would have voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which is creating historic investments in Nevada’s airports, roads, bridges, and rural broadband while creating thousands of high-paying union jobs.
REPORTER: You mentioned cutting back on spending, what then is your view on the president’s infrastructure proposals?
SAM BROWN: I wouldn’t have voted in agreement with the infrastructure proposal.
REPORTER: Both of them?
BROWN: Yeah.

“Sam Brown keeps finding new ways to show just how out of touch with Nevada he is – including attacking a widely popular and bipartisan infrastructure project that would create thousands of good-paying jobs and boost tourism across Southern Nevada.”
