On the anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, here’s your reminder that Sam Brown called provisions to lower drug costs a “big loss for the American people.”
Two years ago, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law, delivering historic investments in American clean energy production, creating tens of thousands of good-paying jobs, and taking major steps to reduce the cost of prescription drugs – capping the cost of insulin at $35/month and finally allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices.
MAGA extremist Sam Brown opposed this legislation and the benefits it has delivered for Nevadans, calling its drug pricing provisions a “big loss for the American people.”
While the vast majority of Americans support efforts to drive down the cost of prescription drugs, Brown continues to double down on his extreme views in opposition to these widely popular cost-cutting measures – once again showing just how out of step he is with everyday Nevadans.
If Sam Brown and other MAGA extremists had their way, drug prices would skyrocket while the profits of big drug companies would continue to rise.
Nevada State Democratic Party Spokesperson Katharine Kurz:
“Sam Brown’s consistent opposition to the new law capping the cost of insulin and empowering Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices proves yes again that he is deeply out of touch with Nevadans. Brown would proudly join other MAGA Republicans in taking action to repeal this widely popular and beneficial legislation, which would cause prescription drug prices to skyrocket once again for seniors.”
