MAGA extremists Sam Brown and J.D. Vance share similar disturbing views on women without children in politics
As videos and news stories continue to circulate of Republican nominee for Vice President JD Vance calling Kamala Harris a “childless cat lady” and stating that Americans without children should have their votes count less, here’s a reminder that Sam Brown (who has enthusiastically endorsed Vance) shares similarly concerning views on women without children.
After his failed run for office in Texas, Brown publicly opposed one of the women he had been running against specifically because of the fact that she was “not married with children to provide for or nurture and has refused to plant roots.”

“MAGA extremists like JD Vance and Sam Brown have pushed harmful attacks denigrating women and families based on whether they have children or not. All Nevadans deserve respect, no matter their family planning decisions or challenges, but Brown has shown that he thinks women without children are less deserving of holding public office and having an equal say in our democracy.”
Sam Brown has displayed a consistent lack of understanding when it comes to women’s issues. Brown has a decade long extreme anti-abortion record that includes pushing to ban abortion without exceptions for rape or incest, supporting efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, and committing to only vote for anti-abortion Supreme Court Justices. Brown also recently served as the Nevada leader of an extreme anti-choice organization. Brown has even said that his anti-abortion views are “non-negotiable” and supported Texas’ extreme abortion ban, which was considered one of the “toughest restrictions in the country.”
