Here’s a reminder that the Nevada GOP held a closed-to-press state convention that was dominated by Republican infighting and dangerous election conspiracy theories.
In April, fake elector, Nevada GOP Chair, and “Trump’s man in Nevada” Michael McDonald gaveled in the meeting and chaos soon followed. Donald Trump endorsed at least two of the six fake electors, who attempted to steal the 2020 election in favor of Trump, to be Nevada’s 2024 electors. Joe Lombardo’s GOP re-elected indicted fake elector Jim DeGraffenreid and RNC Committeewoman Sigal Chattah, who said Nevada’s first-ever Black Attorney General should be “hanging from a f*cking crane.”
After months of hiding it, the NVGOP released their extreme out of touch agenda that doesn’t even mention Joe Lombardo’s housing crisis or how to expand affordable housing and affirms their radical opposition to abortion from the point of conception. They went as far as changing their bylaws so that they could nominate a convicted felon as their presidential candidate. They are in lock-step with the Trump-Vance ticket that plans on banning abortion nationwide, eliminating the Department of Education, and destroying Social Security and Medicare for our seniors.
“The NVGOP, Sam Brown, and the Trump-Vance ticket want to implement Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda that would ban abortion nationwide, implement inhumane mass deportations, abolishing the Department of Education, and gut social security and Medicare for our seniors,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Nicholas Simões Machado. “Republicans’ state party platform only serves to remind voters of how dangerously out of touch they are with hardworking Nevada families.”
