Donald Trump’s pledge to cut federal funding for education in half highlights the harm Brown and Trump’s MAGA agenda will have on Nevadans
Sam Brown has called to fully eliminate the Department of Education
In a speech to the extremist Faith and Freedom Coalition this week, Donald Trump reiterated his call to abolish the Department of Education – admitting that some states “won’t do as well” in education as a result.
MAGA extremist Sam Brown, who led the Nevada chapter of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, agrees. Brown called to abolish the Department of Education, and has similarly promised to make “painful” cuts to federal departments and funding for programs like Social Security and Medicare.
If Brown and Trump have their way and abolish the Department of Education, it would put critical funding for Pell Grants, community colleges, special education, career and technical education, and other essential services for Nevada students on the chopping block.
