Brown’s strong support for overturning Roe v. Wade opened the door for these extreme attacks on women’s reproductive rights
Today, Senate Republicans are expected to block a bill that would protect IVF treatments under federal law following the ruling in Alabama that largely halted fertility clinics in the state. The bill, which would establish a legal right to access IVF and other assisted reproductive services, is supported by Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen.
MAGA extremist Sam Brown’s strong support for overturning Roe v. Wade opened the door for these attacks on women’s reproductive rights, and even after seeing the consequences of his actions Brown is doubling down on his anti-choice agenda. On his campaign website today, Brown says that opposing abortion rights would be his litmus test for confirming judges if he was elected to the Senate.
Nevadans deserve to know: Will Brown support the bill to protect IVF treatments across the nation? Or will he stand with his party leaders who are actively blocking federal protections for IVF?
Despite his desperate and disingenuous efforts to backtrack on his toxic anti-abortion record, Brown was caught on tape saying that he “would not vote for someone who would continue to support Roe v. Wade,” has stated that he believes abortion should be banned even in cases of rape or incest, and served as Nevada chairman of an extreme organization that called Roe v. Wade a “moral atrocity.”
