Brown’s decade-long anti-abortion record puts Nevadans’ reproductive freedom at risk
This week, we’re highlighting how Sam Brown’s extreme MAGA agenda puts him wildly out of step with Nevadans. Brown’s extreme anti-abortion record over the past decade makes it clear that he is a direct threat to Nevadans’ reproductive rights and would be a vote to ban abortion nationwide.
- Brown has repeatedly supported banning abortion without exceptions for rape or incest, including a Texas law that had some of the toughest abortion restrictions in the country. Brown even said that his anti-abortion views are “non-negotiable.”
- Brown strongly supported overturning Roe v. Wade and considered it a litmus test for potential Supreme Court Justices. He was caught on tape saying that he “would not vote for someone who would continue to support Roe v. Wade” and stated that he will only support Justices who “understand the importance of protecting Life.”
- Until October 2023, Brown served as the local president of an extreme anti-choice organization that strongly backed a nationwide abortion ban and called Roe v. Wade a “moral atrocity.” The group also praised Texas’ six-week abortion ban.
- While campaigning for the Texas House of Representatives, Brown supported an extreme Texas abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest. He also managed the campaign of a “100% Pro Life, no exceptions” congressional candidate in Texas.
- Just last year, Brown tried to hide his attendance at an anti-abortion gala, and his campaign website actively refers women to anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers known to spread dangerous misinformation.
- Brown has repeatedly refused to support the upcoming ballot initiative to protect abortion rights in the Nevada constitution this November.

“Sam Brown has a decade-long record of extreme anti-abortion views – from pushing to overturn Roe v. Wade, to supporting abortion bans with no exceptions for rape or incest, to running the state chapter of a national anti-abortion group. It is clear that he is a direct threat to Nevadans’ reproductive freedom and wants to take these choices away from women. He is wildly out of step with our state, and Nevadans will vote to reject Sam Brown and his anti-abortion record.”
