Self-Proclaimed “Victim” Joe Lombardo Dodges Questions on Trump Pardon of Michele Fiore Who Stole Money Meant For Fallen Police Officers’ Memorial

“Gov. Joe Lombardo’s office declined to comment on the pardon. He was among the donors Fiore was accused of bilking and testified at her trial.” – Las Vegas Review Journal

Joe Lombardo is refusing to comment after Donald Trump pardoned Michele Fiore, who was convicted of stealing money meant for a memorial for fallen police officers in order to pay for plastic surgery, rent, vacations and her daughter’s wedding. This is part of a growing pattern of Trump disrespecting law enforcement after he pardoned hundreds of January 6th rioters who were convicted of assaulting police officers

Lombardo himself was scammed out of thousands of dollars in Fiore’s embezzlement scheme and testified in court that he was a “victim” of Fiore’s crimes. Now, after Trump pardoned Fiore, Lombardo can’t even make a mild statement condemning the action, because that would mean putting the people of Nevada above Trump’s hypocritical agenda.

WATCH ON KTNV HERE:

Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director Hilary Barrett:

“If Lombardo doesn’t have enough self-respect to condemn Trump pardoning a convicted fraudster like Michele Fiore, who literally stole money from him, he should at least have enough respect for law enforcement to condemn it. That he can’t even stand up to Trump here makes it clear that Nevadans can’t trust him to stand up to Trump anywhere, not to protect their health care, their education, or anything else. Democrats will continue to stand up for law enforcement and all Nevadans, even when Republicans won’t.”
