Today, Nevada leaders held a press conference in Las Vegas spotlighting Sam Brown’s anti-choice agenda and what’s at stake if Republicans are successful in their efforts to ban abortion nationwide.
Brown’s extreme record includes backing a dangerous Texas abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest, serving as President and Chairman of an anti-choice organization’s Nevada chapter, and stating in a candidate questionnaire that he opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest.
“Sam Brown’s anti-choice agenda is dangerous, it’s cruel, and it has no place in Nevada. We will continue to hold extreme Republicans like Brown accountable for their efforts to ban abortion and overturn the will of Nevadans every day,” said Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno.
“What happens in Nevada in 2024 will determine whether or not Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham have the votes they need to bring a national abortion ban to the floor of the U.S. Senate. Democrats are ready to put in the work needed to re-elect pro-choice champion Jacky Rosen and stop Sam Brown from rolling back our rights,” said Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro.
