- Sam Brown wants to extend Trump’s massive tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and giant corporations at the expense of Nevada’s middle-class families and small businesses. This is a plan that leading economists have found would add trillions of dollars to the deficit over the next decade.
- Sam Brown was caught on tape saying he “admires” an extreme plan that would phase out Social Security and Medicare in five years, calling it a “roadmap for a better America.”
- Brown has publicly called for “painful” cuts to federal spending that would gut Social Security and Medicare benefits, and he’s supported by a group that wants to raise the retirement age.
- Brown has long opposed the Affordable Care Act and pushed to repeal it – threatening to take health insurance away from hundreds of thousands of Nevadans. He has also called the new law capping the cost of insulin at $35/month and empowering Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices “a big loss for the American people.”
- Brown has pushed to raise interest rates so high that it could have caused a recession – even admitting that it wouldn’t be “pretty or easy.” He has even attacked Senator Jacky Rosen’s efforts to cut interest rates to provide greater financial relief to Nevadans.
