MAGA Mayhem – April 19th

Nevada MAGA Mayhem – Weekly Senate Update

Another week, another round of infighting for Nevada Senate Republicans who are making this the messiest and ugliest Senate primary in the country. This is Nevada MAGA Mayhem, your weekly update on the latest news from the Nevada Senate Republican Primary.

KEY TAKEAWAYS: Gunter reported loaning himself millions of dollars and launched a new attack ad against “Scam Brown.” Brown confirmed he would vote against federal protections for IVF and then debased himself by joining right-wing conspiracy theorist Wayne Allyn Root’s unhinged radio show to praise WAR and Donald Trump.

GUNTER LOANS HIMSELF 💰MILLIONS💰AS ALL-OUT-BRAWL 🥊 IN MAGA PRIMARY CONTINUES

As part of his multi-million dollar new ad campaign that’s flooding airwaves across Nevada ahead of the “increasingly nasty” June 11 primary, former Trump Ambassador Jeff Gunter launched a brand new attack ad against “Scam Brown.” The ad criticizes Brown’s close ties to Mitch McConnell and the D.C. Swamp and dubs him the “newest creature to emerge from the swamp.”

The ad also hits Brown over his scam PAC that has been accused of swindling grassroots Republican donors in order to pay off debt from his last failed campaign for Senate in Nevada.

The messy MAGA primary has turned into an all-out brawl as the infighting between candidates and battles for Trump’s affection escalate. Gunter loaned his campaign $2.7 million, reiterating that he will spend “whatever it takes” to win this primary and Brown is being pushed even further to the right. In the last few weeks, Brown flew to Mar-A-Lago to beg for Trump’s endorsement and went on a right–wing media tour praising the disgraced former President.

BROWN DOUBLES DOWN ON ANTI-ABORTION AGENDA, OPPOSES FEDERAL PROTECTIONS FOR IVF

New reporting from the Las Vegas Review-Journal revealed that MAGA extremist Sam Brown would vote against federal protections for IVF and other assisted reproductive services if he were in the Senate. This confirms what we have known all along – Brown cannot be trusted to stand up for Nevadans’ reproductive rights.

Despite claiming otherwise, Brown would have fallen in line with Senate Republicans – led by his top ally, Mississippi Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith – as they blocked legislation to protect IVF access under federal law.

Brown has made his extreme opposition to abortion rights clear over the last decade:

  • He has repeatedly supported abortion bans with no exceptions for rape or incest, including an extreme abortion ban in Texas that was considered one of the “toughest restrictions in the country”
  • He strongly supported overturning Roe v. Wade
  • He even declared that his anti-abortion position is “non-negotiable” for him.

SAM BROWN 🧦☕COZYING UP 🧸🪵TO CONSPIRACY THEORIST WAYNE ALLYN ROOT TO COURT THE FAR-RIGHT

MAGA extremist Sam Brown took his right-wing media tour a step further yesterday by cozying up to prominent conspiracy theorist Wayne Allyn Root on his ultra-conservative talk radio show in an effort to promote his far-right MAGA agenda.

Wayne Allyn Root is a radical extremist “known for promoting bogus right-wing conspiracy theories” about the 1 October mass shooting in Las Vegas, the 9/11 terrorist attack, President Obama, the COVID pandemic, and more. Despite this, Brown called Root a “warrior,” a “wild man,” and “inspirational” – that’s a choice!

Brown also used his time on this right-wing theorists’ show to praise Donald Trump and once again said Trump is the reason he’s running for Senate – yikes.
