Brown’s attendance at MAGA rally follows Trump’s disastrous and unhinged debate performance, where he peddled bizarre anti-immigrant conspiracy theories and bragged about overturning Roe v. Wade
All eyes are on Nevada as convicted felon Donald Trump takes the stage tonight — and MAGA extremist Sam Brown said he’s looking forward to being there. Brown is choosing to campaign with Trump just days after the disgraced former president’s disastrous and unhinged debate performance spewing bizarre conspiracy theories about immigrants eating pets, making up lies about abortion, and bragging about his role in overturning Roe v. Wade.
Ahead of Trump’s visit, here’s your reminder that Sam Brown will always put his far-right agenda and loyalty to the former president who lost Nevada twice ahead of what’s best for our state.
Sam Brown’s extreme MAGA agenda that will hurt hardworking Nevadans includes:
- Spending his entire campaign kissing up to Donald Trump – including touting that he has an “extremely conservative” record, frequenting far-right media channels to tout his MAGA credentials, proclaiming that Trump “motivated” him to run for office, and even admitting he is a MAGA extremist.
- Repeatedly supporting banning abortion without exceptions for rape or incest, including a Texas law that had some of the toughest abortion restrictions in the country, saying that his anti-abortion views are “non-negotiable,” and serving as the local president of an extreme anti-abortion group that supports a national abortion ban.
- Recruiting and managing the Congressional campaign of an extreme anti-abortion candidate in Texas who touted being “100% pro-life, no exceptions.”
- Praising an extreme plan that would phase out Social Security and Medicare in five years – saying it was a “roadmap for a better America.”
- Opposing the Affordable Care Act and consistently pushing to repeal it – threatening to take health insurance away from hundreds of thousands of Nevadans.
- Calling the Inflation Reduction Act and its prescription drug pricing provisions to cap insulin at $35/month and empower Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices “a big loss for the American people.”
- Saying that reviving Yucca Mountain as a nuclear waste repository is an “incredible opportunity” – putting him at odds with scientific, business, and political leaders from across the Silver State.
- Opposing the Bipartisan Border Bill earlier this year before the text of the bill was even released solely because of Trump’s opposition. When the text was actually made public, Brown doubled down and immediately opposed the widely supported bipartisan plan, putting him at odds with the Border Patrol Union.
Nevada Democratic Party Spokesperson Katharine Kurz
“Sam Brown continues to prove that he is more interested in partisan politics and an extreme MAGA agenda than he is in doing what’s best for our state. Brown is doubling down on his unwavering loyalty to Trump even after a disastrous and unhinged debate this week, showing hardworking Nevadans that he can’t be trusted to put them first.”
