Overview: The Biden For President campaign in Nevada is looking for a Spanish-language Press Secretary. This individual’s goal will be to help drive positive coverage and messaging in Spanish-speaking communities. The Spanish-language Press Secretary will work with the broader Nevada communications team.
The ideal candidate for this role has experience in political communications and media, excellent written and verbal Spanish-language skills, and a strong cultural awareness of major issues relevant to Hispanic/Latino communities. This role will be based in Las Vegas and reports to the Nevada Communications Director.

Key Responsibilities:
- Building relationships with media, primarily with Spanish-speaking press
- Serve as an on-camera and on-the-record spokesperson for Spanish-speaking media
- Draft and/or translate press materials in both English and Spanish, including press releases, talking points, and op-eds.
- Work and communicate effectively with other members of the Communications team to achieve departmental goals.
- Staff and advance campaign events, including interviews, press conferences, and surrogate travel
- Work closely with political and organizing teams in order to build relationships
- Monitors media, including news and social media, and distributes relevant information to the communications team and senior staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in political communications, including in state, local, or federal government or on campaigns
- Fluent in Spanish, with excellent professional Spanish-language writing skills
- Experience talking to and building relationships with members of the press
- Excellent cultural competency within Latino communities, experience organizing and engaging with Spanish-speaking communities a plus
- Familiarity with Nevada’s press corps and media landscape
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
Salary: $6,500 per month
